SASSA Payment Dates and Latest Updates
In response to the rising cost of living, South Africa’s Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana, has announced adjustments to the permanent grants. The changes are as follows:
Old Age, Disability, War Veterans, and Care Dependency Grants: The rates will increase by R100. Implementing the new rates will take place in two phases: R90 initially in April and the remaining R10 in October 2024.
Foster Child Grant: Increased by approximately R50.
Child Support Grant: Increased by R20 from October 2024.Payment Collection Advice
Recipients are advised to visit the nearest ATMs to collect their payments on the day following the disbursement. Visiting the ATMs immediately after the payment is credited may result in congestion due to many claimants.
